About this test
Adult attachment research describes how people handle closeness in relationships along two dimensions: attachment anxiety (worry about rejection or abandonment) and attachment avoidance (discomfort with closeness and depending on others). Your position on both places you in one of four styles. The questions are written for SelfAssessment.io and follow these two dimensions.

Questions about this test
What are the four attachment styles?
Secure, anxious (also called preoccupied), avoidant (dismissing) and fearful-avoidant. They come from combining two dimensions: how much you worry about rejection, and how comfortable you are with closeness.
Can my attachment style change?
Yes. Attachment patterns are fairly stable, but they can shift through new relationships, life experience and therapy.
How is it scored?
Six questions measure attachment anxiety and six measure avoidance, each from 0 to 100. Scoring above the midpoint on a dimension counts as high. Your combination of the two gives your style.
